WordPress is probably the most recognizable and popular CMS. Almost every fourth website uses this content management system. People choose to use it for several reasons. First of all, it is simple to run and manage, and its use is under a free license. Also, you can find numerous templates and plugins on the web that increase its usability. The solution is relatively SEO-friendly, which can be further optimized with extensions. It also provides an appropriate level of security, both for private and business purposes.
You can further speed up your site by integrating BlazingCDN with WordPress. Before starting the whole process, be prepared and secure your database and resources, preferably backing up. Add a CDN domain in Static, and remember to add SSL encryption for HTTPS. Additionally, for non-standard fonts, CORS must be run.
How to properly integrate? Start by finding a CDN plugin for WordPress that you need to install and then activate. Then go to its settings and add your CDN domain there – formula: cdn00000000.blazingcdn.net. If you have Include Directories to enter, enter: wp-content, wp-includes and exclude phrases ‘.php’. Below you will find examples for two plugins – W3 Total Cache and WP Super Cache.
- W3 Total Cache
In this case, find, install, and activate the plug-in. In the menu, find the Performance tab, then the General Settings section. At the bottom, you’ll find the CDN, click on the Generic Mirror option without turning it on. Save, and then in the same menu, find the Configuration section. Here you need to change the site hostname to your CDN domain – formula: cdn00000000.blazingcdn.net. Save. Only now you can activate the plug-in by clicking on Enable. Save again, and it’s done.
- WP Super Cache
Install and activate the plugin. In the menu, find the settings, then the WP Super Cache section. Find the Easy tab where you click on Caching On and Update Status. Then open the CDN tab, click Enable, and in the URL field, enter your CDN domain – formula: cdn00000000.blazingcdn.net. If you don’t have SSL entered, select Skip HTTPS Addresses. Save Changes. Ready.
